Rehabilitation of muscle
The muscles in our body work as a team. A good example is the hamstring muscles.
Each of the three muscles in this team may flex the knee joint but only one of them can also extend the hip. Since each muscle has a slightly different from the other two, the hamstrings can flex the knee, for example, in slightly different ways.
Every muscle has the capacity to contract, but none can spread by his own effort. This means that each team of muscles in the body must have an objection or a team of antagonistic muscles which can stretch its members back to their normal resting length when they cease to contract - and vice versa, naturally. For the hamstrings, the team consists of the antagonistic quadriceps muscles.
When the hamstring muscles are contracting the quadriceps they pull back to their normal resting length. When the quadriceps are contracted they do the same thing for the hamstrings. All our muscles work on this principle.
If the whole system works properly, it must maintain a very fine balance between the forces of the muscles in opposition teams.
Imagine, for example, we have two teams competing in muscles called A and B. They control the movement of a joint. If the muscles of Team A are used constantly and the muscles of the B team are not, the balance between them is gradually affected. With repeated use, muscle tone and too will be shorter. This makes it more difficult for the muscles antagonistic muscles pull the other team back to their normal resting length - in fact, they do not. In addition, to add to the problem, the brain makes the muscles that are too tone as if they were entered and automatically reduces the ability of those contractions in the opposite team to maintain the balance between them. The result, unfortunately, is just the opposite. While the muscles of Team A are too tired and too hard, the muscles become weaker B team. This type of imbalance is caused by the repeated stress which results in pain and muscle aches, a very common problem in the West. Playing sports, driving cars with misplaced orders, use a computer for hours - all this is likely to pose such problems.
The treatment for tight muscles, shortcuts and even spasmodic muscle is stretching. They should be stretched just as much as possible without using and maintaining a length slightly greater than their normal resting length. This fools the brain so that it does reduce the ability of antagonistic muscle contraction.
After a few treatments progressive these problems can be corrected.
Oriental therapies can work studied to treat these problems. The Tuina massage and Thai are particularly effective but the Shiatsu massage and Indonesia also work although a bit slower.
The shortening of muscle caused by repeated stress is always accompanied by some pathological changes of the muscle tissue which must also be concerned when it deals. These therapies are effective because they balance the intrinsic energy so that the injured tissue can heal at the same time that muscle fibers can be mechanically stretched.
In the fight against the chronic pain - physical and emotional - the massage Tuina, Shiatsu, Thai and Indonesian, his powerful weapons.
Each of them can make you feel good - a different way.
